TARC General Business Meeting Minutes

33 members were in attendance
The Secretary was in attendance at the January Meeting … No minutes were available.. Brian, AF4SR made a motion to dispense with the reading of the Minutes. Approved.
Old Business
Treasurer’s Report – Kathy
The Internal account has $937.00
The External account has $1618.95
The Treasurers report was approved by vote.
Nominating Committee – Bill, N4WEB
Bill explained the nominating process:
Bill presented a proposed slate of candidates to be voted on at the March 6, 2006 General meeting. The candidates presented were:
Seat #5 Jim, WA3DIT 3 year term
Seat #6 Lu, K4LVR 3 year term
Seat #7 Bart, AF4TK 1 year term
Seat #8 Dan, KA2TOC 1 year term
Seat #9 Jodi, KI4FWJ 1 year term
Nominations were solicited from the floor, and Gary, KC5QCN was nominated by Dan, KA2TOC. The nomination was seconded, and Gary chose to run for Seat #7 against Bart.
With no further nominations, a motion was made by Brian, AF4SR to close the nominations and those seats that are unopposed to be elected acclimation. Mike, NI4M seconded the motion was Approved.
The election on March 6 will be between Gary, KC5QCN and Bart, AF4TK for seat #7.
The election process on March 6, will be as follows:

Field Day – Bill, N4WEB
Biff –CW
Warren - SSB
Julio – VHF
Ian – GOTA
Dan – Demonstration Modes

· Transportation of gear to the deployment site
The following individuals offered to bring trailers for this year. Please confirm with Bill, and if you have a preference of a station to support.:

The good ‘Reverend’ started the FD food hat, and we collected $140 towards the food fund. Way to go!
Communications Committee – No Report

Announcements
CubScouts – Warren, W1GUD
There will be 6 Cubscouts and their parents at the clubhouse, Sunday 2/12 from 1p to work on their Radio Badge. If you want to come out and help, please drop by.
CERT – Jodi
CERT will be holding their monthly meeting at the clubhouse on 2/9. The theme of this meeting is Animal Rescue in an Emergency”. If you are interested, the meeting starts @ 7p.
Program Night – Lu, K4LVR
Lu is putting together an agenda for future program nights for the balance of the year. If you have suggestions, please see him.
February’s Program is “Tax Implications of Amatuer Volunteers”, presented by Carrie, KG4HPJ.
Orlando Hamcation – Biff, K4LAW
The Orlando Hamfest is 2/11. Be sure to buy tickets and where your TARC stuff to show your support. Dan, KA2TOC, and Markl, N4SEX will be there along with Mr. Bunny and their Hospitality trailers. Be sure to drop by.
TarcFest – Biff, K4LAW
TarcFest will be 4/15 under the trees. Dave from CGA will be there. Be sure to spread the word on the various reflectors and nets. Hopefully you’ll have that big fat tax refund to go shopping with!
Club Training – Mike, NI4M
A request was made to determine the need for training to club members (or non-members) for the various license classes, and CW. Please contact Mike if you are interested at NI4M@hamclub.org. We can offer it on non-business meeting nights as needed.
EmComm Operator List Needed
If you are able and willing to provide support in the event of an emergency (operator, logistics, etc), we need your names, contact info, and any capabilities you have so we can have a call-out list ready in the case we need to activate. If you can, please sign up by sending your info to Keating, KC4HSI@hamclub.org.
Board Meeting
The next Board meeting will be at some local dining establishment on 3/2 @ 7:00p. Listen to the repeater or the TarcList for the location.
